Things to do near Austin- Bastrop County

If you are new to the area and are looking for some great places (and creepy spots) just East of Austin, here are a few of our favorites.

 

At the top of our creepy places to check out list is Scream Hollow

Scream Hollow is just a short drive from The Oddity Den in the neighboring town of Smithville. They host YEAR ROUND haunted attractions and also have a Halloween history museum, cafe and gift shop. If you haven’t been there yet and are in town, this is a must see place to add to your list. 

If shopping or BBQ is on your list and your in need of some crazy cool horror collectibles, The Gas Station is just a stones throw away, here in Bastrop. Every year they host the famous Cult Classics Convention and have a campsite with several cabins you can rent for the night

Are you into crystals, tarot and witch craft?  Then just five minutes away from us you can find All Things Witchie (who is conveniently located next to Roadhouse- if you need a beer).
